You need to consider things like the speed of skating, timing of ollie and also the timing of landing.

Firstly, you need to get the right speed. This is very important and practice makes perfect. If you skate too fast, will have problem when you land you ollie. If you skate too slow, you can’t get a high ollie, so the speed must be just right.

Be at your Ollie position, with your back foot at the edge of the skateboard and your front foot between the middle and front trucks of your skateboard.

Slant your legs abit so that you can have a higher impulse. Then kick down the skateboard tail with your back foot and slide your front foot up the deck. You need to do this smoothly. If you are too fast, you might lose your balance!

Pull your knees up until they touch your chest as you slide with your front foot. This is to increase your height and your balance. Maintain the board level and extend your legs to the ground for landing.

Make sure you land you board in the right position. If your board nose-dive, if will be thrown off the board. You need to control with your knees here.
